Spatial division

Based on spatial flow A01 (Sight & Sound), A02 (Smell), A03 (Taste), A04 (Touch), A05 (Bonding Space 01 - Social Games), A06 (Bonding Space - Reflection/Discussion Space)

Only a single entry and exit point present.

Dual entry point inserted. Entry points adjusted and shifted to the top. A04 Missing

Size of A03 increased to accomodate more people. A04 included into the space. Entry/Exit points for blue line and black line made similar.

Size of A04 is decreased to allow more space for A05 and A06

Spaces are flipped based on surrounding vistas. A05 and A06 is the celebrated space, therefore a better view of the surrounding should be catered for these 2 areas.

Curved walls are inserted to make the spaces flow smoothly without the inclusion of sharp edges

Plan is refined to include additional cantilevered spaces for A03, A05 and A06.

Tried an alternative method of using straight, angular walls to create more depth and movement from space to space.

We should sniff Oxytocin

When you feel very stressed out
|
Your body releases oxytocin
|
And when the 5 senses are stimulated, more oxytocin are released
|
When more oxytocin are released, your body and mind will intend to be more social, thus forcing you to reach out to others for help and support
|
Negative stress will thus be converted to positive stress and the ability to cope and accept stress is achieved.

Walaaa !

Oxytocin regulation on physiology and behaviour

OXYTOCIN

OXYTOCIN

And so, after weeks and weeks of searching for the right solution to convert distress (negative stress) to eustress (positive stress), I have finally found the answer.

Whenever we experience stress, be it negative or positive stress, our body will release a neurohypophysial hormone, secreted from the posterior pituitary gland in our brain called ' OXYTOCIN'. Oxytocin is traditionally known as the 'Bonding Hormone'. It is usually secreted by the brain during hugging, kissing, childbirth, breastfeeding and orgasm. Some will call it the love hormone. It will make the heart rate beat at a slower pace and prepares the body for a bond.

However, new research has surfaced that Oxytocin is indeed an anti-stress mediator or a natural anti-depressant. It promotes well-being, social interaction, growth and healing. Therefore, the main reason why oxytocin is secreted when we're feeling stressed out is because the body wants us to socialize, to bond, to speak to others in order to cure the stress. It is indeed very interesting how our body reacts to cure itself from stressors.
